This approach is not without risk as you don't have the benefit of seeing the actual unit before you make a commitment. Another major factor for buyers buying ‘off plan’ is the payment plan. It is quite common now for developers to make the final payment a larger amount with smaller stage payments over the construction period. Most developers offer 50-70% only payable when the project is complete and you can take possession. This makes your investment risk substantially lower but your return on investment still at its maximum.
